Gisele Bundchen Talks About ‘Heartbreaking’ Divorce, Including Whether Tom Brady’s Un-Retirement Caused It

In a recent interview, the model alleged that “everything” that had been printed about the couple’s breakup prior to their divorce was false.

In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, which was released on March 22, Gisele Bundchen broke her silence over whether or not her ex-husband Tom Brady’s choice to come out of retirement was a part in their decision to obtain a divorce. The 42-year-old model spoke candidly about the “heartbreaking” separation and how much she loved the 45-year-old NFL player. When Tom decided to come out of retirement, she said that speculations about their breakup were “extremely devastating,” noting that there were other reasons for it.

When asked how much of the claims about their divorce being related to Tom’s football career were untrue, Gisele responded, “everything.” She also referred to the claims that his retirement recall was the reason behind their split as “the weirdest thing I’ve ever heard.” She added that people “grow apart” occasionally.

Gisele went on to say that she had “always cheered for” Tom and his accomplishments and that she “would continue forever,” assuring him that she only had the finest wishes for him. “Believe me, if there’s anyone I want to be the happiest person in the world, it’s him. I want him to succeed and rule. I want him to achieve all of his goals. That’s what I genuinely, sincerely want, she said in an interview with Vanity Fair.

She showed that it had nothing to do with the choice to divorce by describing how she had cheered for the former quarterback to achieve his goals and how she had learnt a great deal about football from watching him play over the years.

The model eventually said that the un-retirement was “one piece of a much wider puzzle” and that the situation was “not so black and white.” Without going into great depth, she stated that a number distinct circumstances contributed to their choice to get a divorce. “As time passes, we come to see that we just want different things, and we now have a decision to make. That doesn’t imply you don’t care about the individual. Simply put, it means that you need a partner who can meet you halfway if you’re going to be real and actually live the life you want. It is dance. Balance is key, she noted. “When you care for someone, you don’t lock them up.

In addition to dispelling the accusations, Gisele talked about how “heartbreaking” the divorce was and how “difficult” it was that things didn’t work out the way they had anticipated. You give everything you have, and it’s terrible when things don’t turn out the way you planned and worked for them to, but you can only do your part, the source said.

In October 2022, Tom and Gisele made their divorce official. In a joint statement, both parents swore to be dedicated to co-parenting their two kids, Benjamin, 13, and Vivian, 10. Gisele has continued to support her ex on social media since their divorce, including at Tom’s official retirement announcement in February
